Toy Library Wagga Wagga Inc

Terms & Conditions

  1. Volunteer members must contribute a minimum of 6 hours per year of duties. These can be in various forms, as listed on the application form, and if a member is unable to volunteer child free time, a committee member can help select other activities such as selling raffle tickets or repairing toys at home, or utilising their own occupational skills if appropriate.
  2. Any member of the family can borrow, but please borrow in the family name of the membership.
  3. Members may borrow up to 5 toys at any time.
  4. Toys will be itemised and parts will be counted prior to borrowing, and on returning.
  5. Toys are to be cleaned prior to returning. If the Toy Librarian requests, the member may use the detergent and cloths available at the Toy Library to an acceptable standard.
  6. Batteries are not supplied. We advise members to keep some batteries handy at home for when they borrow such toys but it is the member’s responsibility to remove them prior to returning. The toy library accepts no responsibility for batteries which have not been retrieved prior to return. It will be the bonus of the next borrower!
  7. Members may renew toys once via MiBase loging portal, or texting or emailing before or on the due date, leaving their details, succinct message and when they will be returning the toys. Members with overdue toys are unable to borrow more toys until overdue toys are returned. Lengthy overdues will be pursued by the Committee.
  8. Actions and rectifications for missing pieces or toys as follows:
    • If a toy is returned with pieces missing, the member will first be required to re-borrow the toy, giving an opportunity for them to locate the missing part/s and return the toy complete.
    • If, after this time, the part/s is/are still missing, and it is a key piece/s in the toy where it renders to toy "un-fun" (e.g. puzzle piece), the member will replace with a toy of equivalent value and function in consultation with the Committee.
  9. Replacement costs may also be incurred if an item has been recklessly damaged. Please keep in mind what toys have been designed for ...water, sand, magnetic fields, pets etc can play havoc.
  10. All overdue toys must be returned and membership fees must be paid in full before any further borrowing may occur.
  11. Please be aware of age relevance of toys, particularly small parts not being appropriate without close supervision to 3 year olds and under.
  12. Cancelling membership - if cancelling during the term of your membership no refund applies, however we will allow you to transfer your membership and outstanding duty to a friend.
